blog 2016 goals motivation

Ok, so you have probably already read oodles of these types of posts and I wasn't even going to share my 2016 goals, but then I thought why not?  This is such an amazing community of girls supporting other girls and I thought by sharing my goals with all of you it will hold me accountable to work towards actually achieving all of them this year.  I know below is a lofty list, but if you can dream it you can do it.  Am I right??

So while everyone usually dribbles on about their highlights of 2015 I'm going to be really honest with you right now, 2015 was rough.  I am happy it's over and I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life.  (You can read all about my motto for 2016 HERE.)  I'm not going to go into why it was a tough year as it's pretty personal and I don't want to bore anyone with negativity.  Positive vibes only people.  But I'm super psyched 2016 is here and I love new beginnings and everything they symbolize.  Onwards and upwards.

My Goals for 2016:
  • Stand up straight.  (My poor posture is embarrassing.  Just call me Quasimodo.)
  • Be more confident.
  • Actually watch TV, instead of scrolling through instagram while petting my dog and consuming guacamole all the while knitting a hat.
  • Stop swearing.
  • Watch one classic movie a week.
  • Apply to I/O Psychology doctoral programs.
  • Learn sign language.
  • Stop being late to places.
  • Attend 3 blogger conferences this year.
  • Buy some nice pajamas.
  • Reach 1,000 followers on Bloglovin.  (You can help a girl out with this one by following HERE.)
  • Start a book club with my friends back home.
  • Sign up for a yoga retreat.
  • Leave my skin alone!  I need to stop bothering my skin when a pesky spot arrives and have more makeup free days so my skin can breathe.
  • Plan an insanely amazing trip.  I don’t know to where yet, but isn’t that half the fun?
  • As painful as it is I will start saving more money and adhere to a strict budget.  (Mom, I may have to bring you in as a reinforcement for this one.)
  • Stop worrying so much and remind myself it is all going to work out.  As The Alchemist puts it, “When you’re on your path the Universe will conspire to help you.”

Whew, I know it's a lot.  Do you think I can do everything on my list?  I'm envisioning awesomeness.  What are your goals for 2016?  I would love to hear them in the comments below!  I hope you had an amazing New Year's and as always thank you for your unwavering support of this blog, it means the world to me!!

xoxo Nicole

I'm doing many of these things this year. Maybe let's do a yoga thing together? I did a mini retreat on new years day and it was amazing!
