essie nail polish

It’s officially sandal weather people and what does that mean…it’s time to break out the summer nail polish arsenal.  From sun-kissed skin, beachy hair, and cocktails by the pool the only other thing we need is a rockin nail polish hue to grace our fingers and toes this season.  From a classic nude to a vibrant red and creamy coral; the offerings below are my all-time favorite polishes for summer.  I come back to these standout shades year after year and these five happy hues are perfect for summertime fun.  Keep reading to find out my picks!

From L to R: Essie Tart Deco, Essie Topless and Barefoot, NCLA Call My Agent, Essie Bouncer It's Me, OPI You're Such a Budapest

  • Essie Topless and Barefoot (pale pink beige)  This shade is super opaque and such a classic nude.  It has some serious color payoff with just two coats and this looks bangin with a tan.
  • NCLA Call My Agent (bright orange red)  This is a vibrant red perfect for the no-nonsense gal.  I feel like you can never go wrong with a creamy red and the coral undertones in this polish make it perfect for summer.  NCLA is such a high quality nail lacquer range and this goes on smoothly and really lasts on my nails.
  • Essie Bouncer It's Me (vivid cobalt blue)  Ahh nothing pulls at my heartstrings like a bright blue nail polish.  I think they are so fun and this shade is amazing.  You have to work with it a little bit, and it usually needs three coats to reach opacity, but it's worth it.  The color is stunning and I love to wear this shade in the summer.
  • OPI You're Such a Budapest (pale periwinkle purple)  One of my hands down favorite nail polish shades of all times.  This is such a pretty color and I get compliments and questions about what's on my nails every time I wear it.  This looks blue in some lights, purple in others, but it's just dreamy and I can't recommend it enough.
  • Essie Tart Deco ( pale creamy coral)  This is such a pretty coral shade and perfect for toes.  Especially with a little bit of a tan this shade just works perfectly and lasts foreverrrr.  The formula applies very opaque and creamy, but I find you definitely need to give the bottle a good shake before applying as mine tends to separate.
