summer fashion haul

With every change of season it feels almost necessary to refresh your wardrobe with a couple great novel pieces.  Lately I have been on the hunt for cool rompers and light dresses to get me through the Florida heat and also wanted to invest in some new heels.  I have been shopping so much at Anthropologie and Nordstrom lately and have been loving their summer offerings.  Anthropologie is pretty much my favorite store ever and when I walk in I basically want everything.  (Yeah, my credit card loves me for this.)  And Nordstrom has such a great online shopping experience.  They price match, offer free shipping and returns, and they have such a great variety of items with sales going on all the time.   I picked up five pieces that I adore and that I know will be staples in my summer wardrobe.  Keep reading to find out what I snagged, and I linked each item below if you're interested.  (Every single item is currently on sale to boot!)  Thanks so much for stopping by and let me know what your fashion staples will be this summer season!

black romper
Anthropologie Thea Linen Romper on sale for $79.95
I LOVE this.  The V-neck detail in the front and back is so chic and I love the tie belt to accentuate the waist.  At first I was like do I really need another black romper for summer?  But I feel like this piece is so versatile and you can never have too many black pieces in your wardrobe.  I can definitely see myself dressing this down for daytime or pairing with fun heels and a clutch for a night out.  If you're on the hunt for a comfortable, but classy romper check this stunner out!

anthropologie blouse
Rarely do I try on a top and think, "I have to have this, I don't care how much it costs, I NEED it."  Well that happened here.  I scooped this up at Anthropologie a couple weeks ago and it was pretty much love at first sight.  The colors and patterns in this are just gorgeous and I love the detailing on the sleeves.  This is another versatile item that I can wear to work, but also dress up for a night out.  I love the ruching detail on the bottom, which is super figure flattering and hides how much guacamole I've been ingesting lately.

Steve Madden fringly
Oh, Steve Madden Fringly heels, where do I begin...  I first saw these grace the feet of Krista Roberto from fashion blog Covering the Bases and I was just smitten.  They looked so fun, outside of my comfort zone,  and definitely on trend with all the fringe we've been seeing this season.  So as soon as they went on sale at Nordstrom I scooped them up.  Ok, so here's my dilemma.  I love them, I do, but I paid $105 for them and I'm worried I won't be able to get a lot of wear out of them.  Also will fringe still be the rage next year?  These are the questions that keep me up at night.  Let me know in the comments below, should I keep them or send them back?

summer white dress
Way-In Embroidered Ruffle Hem Dress On sale for $25.20!!!
If you buy one item from this haul make it be this dress.  It's so flattering, it doesn't look like you're wearing a tent, the embroidery on the chest is gorgeous, it's not see through, and it's $25!  Have I convinced you yet??  Get your tush to Nordstrom.

Ivanka Trump Drita
Ivanka Trump Drita High Heel On sale for $104.99
These nude heels are beautiful in person and I think they're such a great addition to my wardrobe.  I know I will wear these for years to come and they seriously go with everything.  This is my first purchase from Ivanka Trump's footwear line and you can tell the shoes are very well made.  I will say these are high and it's not exactly like walking on pillows of comfort, but I think once I break them in some more they'll be fine.  (The first time I wore these was traipsing around Soho in NYC.  Yeah, probably not the best move.  My feet were killing me and I was about to promise my friend Ian my first born child if he would give me a piggy back ride.)
