When I think of spring makeup I imagine luminous skin, bright eyes and a stunning statement lip.  Well spring has sprung and I’m here to give you all my tips & tricks to achieving a glowing complexion and my top picks for a vivid spring lip.   Keep reading to find out my quick & easy routine…

spring face makeup

Ok so for this time of year it’s all about that glow.  To start I like to apply my foundation using a Real Techniques Complexion Sponge (a great dupe for the beautyblender!).  I find using this method achieves a dewy and super natural finish.  And my favorite base at the moment is a sample I got of the Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup.  This serum-based foundation is oil-free and would be great for those with combination or dry skin.  After pressing my foundation into the skin I apply my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla in an upside down "V" under my eyes and blend out with the sponge.  Now for bronzer I’ll be using one of my favorite cream products, the Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Crème Bronzer in Warm Tan.  To apply I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply to the hollows of my cheeks, sides of my nose, framing the forehead, and a little to contour the jawline.  And then blend, baby blend.  (For a full review of this bronzer click HERE.)  After a light dusting of my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in translucent I apply my favorite blush of the moment, MAC Powder Blush in Melba.  This “soft coral peach” blush is so versatile and would look great on any skin tone.  To finish off the face I dust a little of my Dior Skin Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond on top of the cheekbones.

Now onto the eyes…ladies this is going to be crazy simple.  First I fill in and define my brows with my Anastasia Brow Wiz in ‘Soft Brown.’  Next I highlight the inner corners of the eyes with a Stila eyeshadow in the shade ‘Kitten.’  This shade, found here in the “In the Light” palette is amazing, and such a gorgeous champagne highlight that would compliment anyone’s peepers.  Now for mascara I curl my lashes with my trusty Shu Uemura eyelash curler and coat my top lashes with the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara and bottom lashes with my favorite Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara.  And then that’s it for the eyes, three easy steps!

Drum roll please…the star of the show, the lip color.  Ok, below I have listed my top four lip colors for spring.  They’re all super pigmented, long lasting, and will catch the attention of that cute guy at the grocery store.  Seriously, don’t be mad at me when you try them out at the store and have to buy all four.

And that is it for my quick and easy makeup routine for spring!  I have been loving these products lately and find these steps take me less than 15 minutes in the morning and leave me feeling polished and pulled together.  I hope you enjoyed this post and are having a wonderful weekend.  Leave me a comment below letting me know your favorite lip color for spring!

  1. I love this look! Kitten is my most used shadow in that palette- it's so shimmery and light! The Dior highlighter is stunning too!
