FRIDAY FAVORITE - Links I've Been Loving

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you had an amazing New Years Eve, and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for all of us.  New Year, new beginnings and I can't wait to see where Brazen Brunette goes this year.  And I just want to take a second to thank you for all the love & support, it means the world to me.  Now for this weeks Friday Favorite I thought I would do something a little different and share with you five things I have been loving around the web this month.  I hope you enjoy and have a fabulous weekend, whoo hoo it's finally Friday!!

My roommate introduced me to theSkimm…omg I’m obsessed.  Advertised as “the daily e-mail newsletter that gives you everything you need to start your day,” theSkimm goes through all the popular news stories of the day and sends a condensed version to your inbox every morning.  It’s super easy to read and written in a girly charismatic tone.  I love it because between working full time and running a blog I do not have time to be leisurely reading the New York Times business section every morning.  This is easy to read, keeps me in the know, and allows me to participate in conversations about current events with the impression that I know a semblance of what I’m talking about.

I love this video.  A couple months ago Ingrid Nilsen, aka Missglamorazzi posted this Autumn Fashion video on her YouTube channel while she was visiting NYC.  This girl could not be more likable and I love her style.  From the music, to the NYC backdrop, to her bomb editing skills I loved everything about this.  Manhattan will always hold a special place in my heart from living there in 2011, and this video just made me miss the city so much.

Kale is a polarizing food; you either love it or hate it.  Personally, I'm usually not a fan, but this salad from ohsheglows.com won me over.  It is insanely delicious, and healthy!  If you have not visited Angela Liddon’s website you are missing out.  The new Mom posts amazing vegan and all-natural recipes and released a best-selling cookbook earlier this year.  This salad caught my eye because I love anything with dried cranberries and it came out so good, even my carnivorous Dad loved it!  I would highly recommend, and my only tip is that the salad is best enjoyed that day, and doesn't really refrigerate well as leftovers.

The app makes shopping and the ability to purchase what you see seamless.  Advertised as “the place to discover and buy the latest trends in fashion, home decor, accessories and design” this is an e-commerce app that lets you scroll through the latest trending products on the web with the option to purchase right from your phone.  Everything on KEEP comes with the option to either Like, Keep, or Buy and you can also save products you like in different “collections.”  They even have guest stylists you can follow, and if you’re on a budget they have a section for products under $30.  Warning, this app is highly addictive.

This Twitter handle poses the question, what if Seinfeld were still on the air today?  All the tweets pose modern scenarios of possible episodes and they are hilarious.  The account is created by two guys, @JackPMoore and @JoshGondelman living in New York.  You gotta follow these guys; they are keeping the rip-roaring classic alive.  And if you want to follow me on twitter you can find me @abrazenbrunette

Some of my most recent favorites:
Jerry & George compete to pick up the same woman on a plane. When Jerry sneezes, George jokes about Ebola & gets them both quarantined.
- Jerry's GF dumps him when he tweets a joke making fun of Beyoncé. J:"I don't get it!" E: "People don't like jokes about their religion."
- George wants a tattoo to impress his hipster GF but can't handle the pain. She dumps him when she sees his finger has half a mustache on it
- Elaine’s coworker is creepily obsessed with Frozen & brings it up constantly. “You’re a grown woman! It’s for children! This is not cute!

What have you been loving around the web this month?  Let me know in the comments below!
