FRIDAY FAVORITE-Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Rimmel Powder

This week I thought I would feature a staple in my makeup routine and an affordable item that can be found at any drugstore.  I'm sure you have heard many youtubers and bloggers rave about the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, and it lives up to it's reputation.  This does a great job of setting my under eye concealer and face makeup and it's super inexpensive.  I have seen this product at Ulta and drugstores always priced between $3-$5.  I personally use the "translucent shade."  I find it looks very natural and doesn't make my makeup look cakey, which can sometimes happen when you put a pigmented face powder over foundation.  I also like using a translucent setting powder because you can use it all year long and don't have to worry about buying another shade during the winter and summer months.  This does a great job of mattifying oiliness and any shine on your face, as it should with a title of "stay matte."  (I do apply this before my blush and highlighter though to ensure I'm not mattifying those products.)  This will usually keep me shine free for 6-8hrs and I have combination skin for reference.  My favorite brush to use with this product is the Real Techniques Powder brush, which can also be found at Ulta and most drugstores.   And lastly let's be real, it's not the prettiest packaging we've ever seen, but it gets the job done and at $3 who can complain.

Rimmel Stay Matte
As you can see, this is a well loved product since I have already hit pan.
So there you have it, short and sweet, but a great and effective product to add to the arsenal.  I hope you enjoyed this weeks Friday Favorite and that everyone has an amazing weekend!
